Personal Story:
I have been on a path of self-discovery for the last 4 plus years. Struck by fear, anxiety, and depression, it seemed to get worse by the hour. Everywhere I turned for advice, I never seemed to get the answers I needed. Everyone wanted money for answers, and I got tired of the greed in this world.
As you read this, I may come across as a sensible individual, but trust me, waking up in tears due to overwhelming thoughts is not a fun way to start the day. It's as if you lose control of your brain, with the hamster wheel never stopping.
Two co-workers in my department died suddenly from heart attacks. One passed in the doctor's office while getting checked for chest pains. It is too easy for someone to suggest "Tomorrow is a new day!" or "You just get up and keep going." This doesn't fix anything or make you feel better. "You either keep up or you get left behind" is a very real statement.
Recognizing that you are replaceable in the blink of an eye is not a fun or acceptable feeling. Employers are more concerned about their bottom dollar. If you can't "play your part" in their machine, you have to "create your part" in your machine. This is where I hope to inspire you.
